Prototyping ZMS in 10 steps

  1. Initial analysis: a analysis of demand and specification description (according to portal needs assessment process)
  2. Modelling:
    a. content and structure

    c. design parameters, colouring, typo graphics, site layout, navigation...
  3. Setting-up:
    a. ZMS client, DNS entry, web-server configuration
    b. basic template import
  4. Configuring:
    a. attributes for meta data, and standard objects

    c. text elements and HTML linkage (correlate)
    d. CSS design, colours, typography
  5. Layout templates: adapting layouts, tuning or programming template
  6. Design templates: designing the layout graphics, precise transformation of the design with sophistication of the layout construction and template tuning or programming
  7. Content testing:
    a. constructing content based structure with rubrics and their attributes
    b. creating dummy-documents (Note: The construction contents can be in a working state after step 7!)
  8. User/Roles:
    a. setting up editorial users (admin, editor and author)

  9. Applications: integrating and developing applications or programs
