Business related IT consultancy services - new opportunities in the SADC region

3 - 7 December 2001, Soweto Digital Village, South Africa

The workshop took place at the "Soweto Digital Village" in South Africa from 3 to 6 December 2001. This was the kick-off event for a four year training programme for IT consultants in the "Southern African Development Community" financed by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and organized by the German development aid organisation "Carl Duisberg Gesellschaft". The three components of the programme are a one-year internship in Germany for 20 IT consultants, e-learning courses and support for national e-business projects. Hoffmann&Reif helps to design and implement the curriculum and provide knowledge building applications for the programme.

The project participants come from IT consultancies, internet service providers, university computer centers and private training institutions in Malawi, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania and Zambia.
