Internet technology framework for development collaboration projects

The management of information in development projects will become a key quality indicator for development projects.

Hoffmann&Reif offers knowledge building applications and infrastructures for international knowledge networks with total costs less than 100 USD a month. This is due to application service providing (ASP) strategies leading to world wide available hosting services with very competitive prices.
At Hoffmann&Reif Internet application services are just part of the consulting services.

The Hoffmann&Reif technology framework establishes a “one-stop-knowledge-shop” and provides a multi-lingual web based Knowledge Platform based on standardised, user-friendly and open source Internet technology.

  1. New methods of work and collaboration: through the provision of sophisticated collaboration and communication tools, new ways of working within the Development Community are established and allow for de-centralised efficient and effective work-flows.
  2. Universal access to virtual working environments: through the provision of an ubiquitous, user-friendly point of access collaboration is allowed anytime, anywhere with minimal technical requirements and operating know-how on the part of the knowledge worker. The access is through a web browser and requires no additional software – whether used for training or project management.

Knowledge Building Architecture

Applications based on this architecture for knowledge building enable all actors to move from information sharing to co-ordination and co-operation. In this way data, information and knowledge moves from the private work-place towards a shared area of knowledge (see next illustration).

The concept of a Shared Workspace

All technical components are either based on Open Source technology or represent results of European Community funded projects (see link list).
