The Hoffmann&Reif approach for project management and assessment in international business development projects

Turning knowledge into action.

The ambitious mission of reducing poverty, providing education for all and closing the digital gap set by the international development community and governments is challenging traditional approaches in development aid with regards to project management and the organisation of workflows. Business process rationalisation is setting the standards for all sectors. Development programmes for the South must meet these standards today.
Hoffmann&Reif meet this challenge and convert project models gained from industry sectors into suitable approaches for development collaboration.

Hoffmann&Reif´s project models for the development of sustainable products and solutions

Knowledge Management is a key factor in business process rationalisation because the management of intellectual capital is an important performance factor. It plays an important role in all project management and product/service development processes and has a mayor impact on the quality of delivery. In all projects of Hoffmann&Reif Knowledge Management is therefore a fundamental cornerstone for the management of projects and services.

Hoffmann&Reif assesses development projects based on criteria used by other developement agencies like UNDP:

  1. Results and sustainability
  2. Management and efficiency
  3. Feasibility, design and process

Through a knowledge building framework already applied in various international projects Hoffmann&Reif is able to monitor these criteria over distance.
